Anything you need brother. Use any of my images and ask for anything else you need. I feel very lucky to be apart of this forum. I'm sure my dad feels the same.

Hey David,

Since my son Isaac sent me the link to your web site I have visited often. I feel honored to be asked to help you with your continuing efforts with this great service you provide. My oldest son is coming over tomorrow and he understands cameras, light and something called aperture priority. He understands differing formats of files for digital images also. What format and size of file do you want the images. His camera will do raw photo files if that is of interest. Also he and I have noticed about four variations in the Dyna-Sonic badges if you include lettering styles and shapes etc. If you would like we would be happy to go through our Dyna-Sonic collection and get images of as many variations as we think we can find.

Hey Dyna Clan.I need images of those badges!!!So can I take the larger image from the BDP and can you take pictures of the other badges for me??Thanks, I need them on the Rogers Badge page.David

We also have some three or four Rogers SuperTen with the oval badge, if you would like us to examine those snare badges for variations and provide images.

Would be glad to help. Keep up the great work. It is appreciated!Yes Sir

That BDP is very close to the BDP (actually called "Charcoal" by Precision Drum)that is on my rewrapped 16x16 Leedy tom shell.

Hi Bebop,

Thanks for your input. You wouldn’t happen to have a sample amount of this covering left over would you?

I would be interested in doing a comparison. You have seen this "Charcoal" by Precision Drum covering up close so I respect and value your input. When I look at the image "Charcoal" Pearl wrap by Precision Drum, on the Precision Drum web site, I don’t see the resemblance when compared to Isaac’s photo up of his BDP Dyna up against the brick. Their representation on the Precision Drum web site looks heavily processed in probably Photoshop and a bit unreal to me.

It is a beautiful wrap that Precision Drum offers, but this image has a wider pattern on average within the pearl figuring than the BDP wrap on Isaac's old Dyna, in my opinion. A color comparison I can’t do with any great confidence. The definition of the figure can also be skewed by digital processes. But the pattern may tells us something if the PD product is consistent with their catalog representation efforts. I understand that this image on the PD web site may not be representative of what you received as not all products offered are consistent with the catalog or web site images.

If you have a sample of what was put on your floor tom I would be interested in obtaining it for a period of time just long enough to do a comparison.

Thanks for your input and insight. It is appreciated.Yes Sir

Hey Mate

You are right the photos on the Precision website are heavily photoshopped.

Unfortunately I dont have material left over as I bought the shell

off of ebay already wrapped BUT I have included pictures of a 16x16

shell that has the charcoal wrap and a 9x13 shell that has the BDP wrap.

I will take better pictures within the next few days.

Thanks Dave! Its good to be back on the forum as I haven't visited

regularly for a little while now.

I will try to get some new pics up by tomorrow.

But I have a question, I just looked across the room

and on my dresser is a 1960's Kent snare I am redoing. The

wrap is BDP and original. It looks the same as yours also just a bit of

a smaller chip pattern. Were the wraps made by the same company

like they are now? Should I take some pics of the Kent also?

I'm game for anything at this point you have in regards to badges. If he can get the script Rogers badges also that would be great.

Depending on his camera it probably will take huge pictures, I will take whatever he has in that regard.

Normally for the web I work with .jpg's and then I size them and work them to fit the web site. I can work with any file type.

So I can't be picky at this point and will take our discussion to PM so I do not get in the way of this excellent thread.

So if you can PM from this point when he can get them to me, that would be most excellent.

Thanks

David
