Shelbyville, Tennessee for the the oak re-ring Slingerlands.
Rogers Holiday Snare Drum? What do I have here?
For the life of me, I cannot see why I said that I didn't see the reinforcement rings, unless there was a glitch in the "gallery" that didn't show all of the pics. Maybe I was only looking at one pic. The newer lugs look good.
Ah, yes. Tennessee, not Arkansas.
The outtermost ring is definitely smaller than the rest, but the others are all the same size. I, incorrectly, assumed that since the 5 all looked like the same type of wood and were the same size, that those were the plys, and the smaller outter ply was a single re-ring. I've since learned that up until early 1961 Rogers used the same maple ply's for the shell rings and the re-rings (the outtermost one being a bit less thick).
The drilling job to accomodate the beavertails is definitely not the most elegant thing I've seen, but they fit just fine.
Either way, thanks all for the input. It's an incredibly easy drum to tune, and sounds great. I've even gotten comments about it from non-drummers, which is rare in my experience!
