You can get accruate LOGOS through Bentleys Drum Shop in Fresno CA, they sell on ebay. Period Correct would be a Coated Ambassador, although...... this is very sexy................ as for the hoop..........ebay. 30-75 bucks.

My 1966 Sparkling Blue Pearl Rogers Dayton 20-12-14-16 matching Powertone. BD head is a Remo Fiberskyn Ambassador, Logo came from an ebay seller out of canada. Its accurate.

Hi Steve... another place to get them is Vintage Logos (vintagelogos.com) and they do a great job on logos and crests. The guy from Canada put one of my orders in a regular envelope with no cardboard or other protection, and you know what happened. We had a good conversation about it so maybe he's fixed that problem. Ploughman I love your Rogers kit, it's a beauty!

Hey Steve!

And here is yet another source for the Rogers logo you seek, and this is currently running and available: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220186414811&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=012

Nice pic of your Rogers Ploughman! I played a ton of outdoor venues this past summer with the Frank Sinatra show that I was doing, thus, my 1966 WMP Buddy Rich Headliner kit got pretty dusty/dirty. I completely disassembled them at the end of October to clean/lube, and then set them up in my drum room prior to returning to the "gig zone". Here's a pic. The lighting is NATURAL and incandescent, so the drums look quite "yellowed", but in reality, they aren't. They are actually quite white given their age. Almost the same sizes as yours with a couple differences:

14X20

8X12

14X14

14X14

5X14 WMP/matching Dynasonic ( click the pic for a bigger view )

This is my main gigging kit and is taken to 99.9% of the gigs I play. The bass drum has one of this guys logos.

There is just something absolutely beautiful about period SwivoMatic hardware. Tommy, thats a BR celebrity kit?

Hey Ploughman!...

That pic is of my 1966 BR Headliner kit which is "custom" with two 14X14 floor toms in place of the usual supplied 16X16. I also have the matching Powertone, but opt to play my '67 WMP Dynasonic with this kit. The WMP is evenly matched throughout the entire kit, which is always nice. A lot of times the WMP will "fade" at a different rate within the same kit! These came all together with the tags/labels being very close in sequence.

I also have a 1965 Rogers Buddy Rich Celebrity kit in WMP with a matching 1966 WMP Dynasonic. I'll have to attach a few pics of those for you to see. And, I have to agree with you... period Swivo hardware is beautiful!... and fully functional too. I have personally NEVER had a failure with any piece of Rogers hardware. The only reason I mention this is a lot of guy's seem to think the Rogers hardware is flimsy/lousy. Not even close! :-)

Hey Ploughman, I can never see that set enough...just beautiful.

Tommy, love your WMP set. The red sparkle set in my avatar is actually a BR Celebrity with an 8x12 in the front swivo mount. I set it up four piece for jazz and five piece for big band and pop/rock. It's been my main gigging set for about forty years along with my late 63 COB Dyna which I bought new in the summer of 64.

I don't see my avatar so here's a pic or two.

Hey Jack!

I have seen your Rogers kit many times on the various forums... very nicely kept!, and as we all know, a PLEASURE to play! Let me see if I can attach some pics of my 1965 Buddy Rich Celebrity for you to see. ( click on the pics for a larger view ) Also,

I want to add again that the coloring in the pic I posted of my '66 BR Headliner kit is not accurate. The drums are not even close to that yellow. It happened to be the natural incandescent lighting in my drum room giving them that "cast". Here's a pic of the actual color. This was taken at a gig before sound check/miking. And of interest:

I was playing an EPEK Percussion custom built snare drum this night in place of my usual '67 WMP Dynasonic. The reason I even mention that is this:

Take note of the nice match in color between the EPEK Percussion snare drum and the rest of my Rogers. This snare drum was wrapped in "Antique WMP", so if you have seen that wrap, it will give you a good idea as to the color of my Headliner's.

Beautiful, Tommyp. I just have to have a set of Rogers WMP someday. My first set, that my dad bought for me, was a Slingerland WMP and I have a soft spot in my heart for that finish.

Hey Jack!

You know, the whole WMP thing started for me when I saw Buddy Rich for the first time back in 1967... good god WHERE has the time gone??!! :-) Anyway,

Since then, I collect/play ONLY WMP Buddy Rich model snares/kits... ( including the various COF and/or COW that he also played ) ... as it become a bit of an obsession for me... BUT! ... after all this time I have a nice assemblage of BR snare drums and kits, with the Rogers being my favorites and the ones I gig on 99.9% of the time. Having said that,

I have collected all the different snare drums that Buddy played from 1949 to 1976, with all of them in the correct wrap and/or finsh. This collection comprises the MAIN and most well known models that he played as Buddy was known to stray here and there. Needless to say, the majority of them are WMP! There is a COF and a COW too, both of which were BR favorites.

For me, it all started with Buddy, and interestingly enough, it was the "Swingin' New Big Band" album cover with Buddy sitting behind his WMP Rogers BR Celebrity's with the WMP Dynasonic in plain view that did it... and I guess I never stopped.

Thanks!... and glad you liked 'em!
