Rogers 14" floor tom sale question

From Mr.Toast

You should easily get $1000 or more for your drum...the post stimulus check market for vintage drums seems to be strong.I had my sights set on a 14x14 Rogers BDP recently offered on eBay. I was prepared to “pay up” for it, but when the bid went from $500 to about $1200 in the last few minutes, I couldn’t justify the expense, at least I chose not to TRY to justify the expense to my wife.

I didn't see that auction. I've been looking for a 14 BDP Rogers for quite some time. It was too steep for me anyway. Over the years I have bought a black onyx and blue onyx 14 toms to embellish existing kits. Way back, I got a red sparkle from Charlie Costello. Still have that one too.

Here's the Rogers black diamond pearl 14x14 sale. I had posted it a while back. Dayton Fg No. 79xxx with one wrong hoop and rods with slight greenish fade.

PS - Estimating the blue onyx drum to be from late 1970 to late 1971, but prior to the 9/72 era where the leg mounts changed and the Holiday labels were abandoned.

Yes, purchase in 70 if I recall. It's part of this timbale twin kit. This following is not my page, but this is a photo of my kit.
