GENTLY pry the badges off with a thin knife. keep your blade tho the INSIDE of the tack.

As for the grommet, there are some go photo tutorials on here I believe.

I have not tried it, but I have heard of people using fishing line tensioned under the badge to remove them. Kind of like dental floss. Might be worth a try and highly unlikely to damage the badge.
