Look, the stain is already in the wood. Use the color stain over the purple, once you get the top coat of lacquer/poly/wtf eva...the just re-stain the purple to black, and pray you get just a hint of the purple to shine through in the black and add just a hint of maybe silver or copper glitter to the mix of the top coat of LACQUER...Not like I know anything about your tastes or anything..LoLoLoLo

I don't think it's a purple stain. I'm pretty sure it's a paint because no grain shows through at all. There are a few chips and scratches in it and you can see the lighter color primer they used before painting.
I'm sure that I don't want ANY purple showing though my Turquoise Strata. This is a DARK purple, it looks almost black, but out in the sunshine you can see the purple.
