Years ago I traded a 25.00 dollar mit snare for a Premier snare it was kind of funky the shell is about 2 inches thick with a sound port drilled out of it. I would think its for a mic? Its 14x7 with long spear shaped lugs . the problem is trying to find two replacement lugs ive been looking for over 10 years now.The snare is called Project one i wonder if any one has heard of this ??
premiere project one snare
I have heard of it..
Do you have a pic of the lugs you need?
Premier Project 1 in B/S finish is a very sought after snare, and your finish?? I'll check to see if I have any lugs in the dungeon
You have about 6 guys here more than willing to kill you for that drum. lol
The lugs are the Art Deco II series. If no one has them, you could probably find that at the upcoming drum show here in CT.
Why are those lugs so hard to find?
Do they mount to the drum with 1 or 2 screws?
I might have some if only 1 screw....
Depends on the depth, the short ones have 1 screw, longer 2 or 3 screws. He'd have to tell us how many holes. I hope he knows how to remove the reso shell to replace the lugs, otherwise he's kinda screwed even if he does find the right lugs.

Otherwise he will have to learn.....but it really is quite simple to remove and refit a Resonator-innershell in a snare.

Jon,
could you maybe post some pics on how to re-install the wood in a Resonator snare?
I have a brushed chrome one (5-1/2 by 14),and don't want to break the wood when I put it back in!
Thanks!
I dug this out of my old catalogs. The "special tool" is a VERY thin and flexible putty knife. Razor Blade thin but not razor sharp.
PS: Here's a few photos of one that has been ... mangled. Note the reso liner. http://www.flickr.com/photos/48317260@N03/sets/72157623585757023/

Use a credit card to prevent damage to the liner
