Please help identify the shell material on these Olympic By Premier drums

Loading...

Hi EricP, The Olympic by Premier bass drum head was the original head and it came with my purchase. (See photo of black shell kit from Pittsburgh)

Once I finished the restoration of the 14x20 & 8x12 Aqua Shimmers, I wanted to have a photo of the kit as it may have looked in my local music store, complete with an original head.

The Remo "Premier" reso head came with my eBay purchase. I added the port hole.

I have been told by others the Shimmer wrap could have been a custom order; no way to validate this. I look forward to other VDF member input about this. Bob

Hi... this is from http://www.vintageolympic.co.uk/kits.html

Many thanks to Martin Kopperud from Norway for sending a picture of his lovely Olympic set in Aquamarine Sparkle which also has a matching snare, this is one of the rarer finishes but it does look good. Martin regularly gigs the set with his band and back in the 80's it was actually played one night by DJ Fontana who was Elvis's drummer.

Thanks for the BD logo info.

Those aqua marine sparkle Olympics come up once in a while on eBay, more so with the USA badge. Would love a kit in that sparkle!

Looks like pancake sized rack toms too Ning, very cool :)

Found it!!
