Pearl President

Loading...

Just finished this Pearl Set, i think it´s a President from the 60s! It was a lot of work. Rusty Parts, the wrap was broken in some places, broken threads and a lot of missing parts....but now it´s back as a cool Gigkit!

Just wanted to share my happiness with you guys;-)

Enjoy the pics!

I have the exact same kit - with the exception of the color. I believe mine was the same color, but darkened over time. OR mine is a different color altogether. I believe I had it figured out at one time that mine was 'Charcoal Pearl' as opposed to BDP.

See attached pics to give you an idea.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Very nice. I have never thought much of using that little cast receiver for a double mount. A single is enough weight and torque when playing it.

Nice kit. I have a similar kit. My shells are the brown painted ones inside tho. Never could find the matching snare for it

Thank you guys for your kind words about my work, i enjoy that:-) you guys know how much work it is to bring kits like this back to live!

@Drummerjohn333

i think the wrap of mine kit was a lot darker when it was new. It´s like you said, black charcoal!

@jimpercusion

Very nice Set you have there:_)

What i would like to know; Is it possible that this orphans are made of birchwood?

Because the color is very light and the surface of the wooden shells is very smooth. They don´t look feel and sound like Luan at all? Would somebody know something?
