12.0% of the initial $50.01-1000.00 range, plus 6.0% of the remaining final sale price balance ($50.01 to $1,000.00)
So, as I understand it (or not) they will charge you 12% of whatever your initial price started out as...
Auction style listings....
If you started out with a price of $100.00, then your initial charge would be $12.00.
If the item sells for a final price of $850.00, then you be be charged an additional $51.00
Total = $63.00 for eBay charges
PayPal would be extra....I don't have those figures in front of me.
You'd probably pay around $70.00 or so, in total. :(
(Fixed-price listings are more -15% and 5% respectively)
I hope I'm correct. Please someone correct me if I am wrong. That's my understanding.
Thanks for that O-lug.
P/P gets 3.2% Domestic on a sale of $100 or more...........4.2% Overseas.
Wow! So that means that you'd have to add an additional 27+ dollars to that final (fee charge) price? Dang...
$850.00 - $90.00(approx.) = $760.00
The way I see their new fee structure is.
If you are a single seller, meaning no store.
An 850 drum kit, with shipping of a 100.00 the fees would be
9% on the sale 9% on the shipping and 3% to paypal
$76.50 +9.00+28.50= $114.00 or just over 13% of the sale goes to ebay.
Thats way too high in my book
I just sold a set starting at $0.99, no reserve, and it ended up selling for $865. The final value fee was $77.85, and the listing fee was $1.45. I agree that $77.85 is too high, $50 would have been tolerable. I avoid selling on ebay if at all possible, even more so now with this recent hike.
Thanks,
Bill
also the shipping charge is now part of the final value fee, Aren't they F-ing great????Lame I use them often but I still hate them, and that's a word I don't often use.
Yes, maybe there is another venue to buy and sell drums, where there is no listing fee, and a smallFVF created by drummers, for drummers. It is up to you , fellow drummers.
i wonder if we start doing a buyers premium and they pay for ebay fees like other auctions do it could work f they want it bad enough,,,
Wow. I mean... I hardly ever use ebay, I've only bought a few small things there, but I've never put up anything for sale. I knew you had to pay something for selling stuff, but this is a lot. Also considering how many things are sold each day, they must be making a heck of a lot of money there. I wonder what they do with all that...
(Hehe, very subtle, drawtheline55 ;))
