Hey Doug, I cant tell you what muffler is correct but I have a bunch of MIJ parts leftover from my raffle kit. I will take a look at what I got, if you can use it then its yours.

Cool little drum by the way.

Thank you!

Hey Doug......Great looking snare drum. For what you paid id leave the wrap whether original or not. The strainer looks really cool does it work well. New heads crank it up and get it played.....Cheers sean

Thanks Jeff!! What a guy!

Sean - the strainer does appear to work well, nice and smooth. The wrap is in great shape so like you say it's staying as is. The hardware is in good shape so a clean up and she'll be ready for business.

As for the info on Hoshino, not a single clue where to find proper information.

As for the wrap, to me it's an odd finish with the silver stripe in the middle. Looks more of a modern trend to me but who knows.

For the muffler, maybe a pearl type would do, not sure on that one.

I hope it sounds good.

Hoshino did some extremely wild wraps for about 3 years. Candy Cane was it's best wrap, but good luck finding one!

Search this site, there is some info, whatever we've been able to glean, anyway.

I've been doing some research. Seems this snare is similar or the same as LaBoz and TeleStar. The muffler I'm looking for would be one of these - shares the exact same hole configuration. I'll probably never find one but it's cool to know.
