I bought these off of craigs list yesterday. It was an estste sale for 59 yr old Doctor. 22-12-13-16-Oyster black pearl and supraphonic snare. These are very early 60's. The have they white interior and basball bat mufflers. I havent checked all the serial numbers yet, but im sure this was all bought together. It came with a extra bass drum that is very similar to the OBP wrap and a MIJ floor tom. A zildjian ride, crash and new beats and a sabian crash. 2 speed kings. Im going to unload them tomorrow and take some better pics then find a place to put them.

Now tell me you had to pay a fortune for those drums, or I will get really envious ;)

Looks like a great kit to me.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

What all did you get in the lot?

Yeah, when my wife started getting into the drums it really made a huge differance!

BTW -- I did locate a piece of the old champagne sparkle big enough for a snare drum, but haven't pulled the trigger yet (expensive!). And I did locate some full sheets (24x54) of it but passed at $250 per sheet.

And I also found out that Precision Drum Co. now stocks a Delmar-made "Modern Bermuda Sand" that is a little thinner than the original but looks a LOT like it (I had them send me a sample). It's the same price as their other sparkles, if I remember right...
