MIJ Wrap Finishes-Let's Rank 'Em-Popular To Rare

From Trilok_Gurtu

Thanks! Ironically, I scored another MIJ Club Date kit yesterday; 20/12/14/14. I showed pictures of it to one of my MIJ Facebook groups, before buying it. It's called a "Extra Play Brand Super", from 1967. The consensus is that its Pearl made, it's fairly identical to the Pearl Valencia model. I now have three MIJ kits that are 20/12/14 (two of them have matching snares as well). Lucky, I guess. Cheers.

Measure the BD shell depth. Is it a 15 incher? I have a Pearl made kit similar - BD shell is 15, not 14.

John

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

And these 2 snares look good, the sparkle one is aqua? Or what would you call it?? "Faded blue sparkle"? On the other hand, the blue strata or blue onyx wrap on the other one is minty for it's age.
