marching drums wood hoop kit

This is a kit I custom-made in commission. It is made from several different European marching drums. All drums had wood hoops. I stripped, stained and oiled all of them. Very thin shells (some maple, some birch).

Sizes: 18 (bass), 14 and 16 (floor), 12 (rack)

For process (which is more complex than you might think, due to metric sizes), see:

Snarestand is a flimsy old stand I once got with an Olympic kit. Don't know if itwas original with that kit. It was in a very bad shape. I touched it up a little with rattle can silver paint and a brush of black. I only use it for holding toms for pictures. It wiggles when you hit the tom.

Speaking about light... The set weights about nothing! Very easy to transport.

@ Vibes. Yes it sounds good! Lots of tone and sustain!
