marching drums wood hoop kit

Absolutely beautiful. The work you put into this really shows. Congratulations. I'd be tempted to put real calfskin heads on those.

Its beautiful, really love the look of those old marching drums. I would love to build a kit like that some day.

Thank you!

I find it interesting that all the drums have the long duel tension tube lugs. Very cool indeed. Have you played out with them yet?

Yep, it sounds good. I played it in my band once. We play 70's rock, quite straightforward and rough. Toms work really well. Pretty loud, long sustain, lots and lots of tone. The 18 inch bass sounds good too, but to light for the kind of music we make (usually I play 24 or 26 inch kicks)

But the kit is not for my own use. The guy I made it for will set it up at home (little space) for practice and having something special to look at.

Oh my goodness. That is gorgeous. One of the nicest kits I've seen. Those sizes. are what I play 90 percent of the time. I want one!

I agree with Agopsalot and Mike... nicest kit I've seen and I'd use calf on all of them.

Too many great drums to list here!
