In that finish I'd be willing to make the trip to see what's up with them. If they were WMP or something like that then I'd need more info first but in a "holy grail" sort of wrap I'd put in some extra effort on the potential deal. The fact that someone else hasn't snapped them up could be a red flag, but I'd rather find out for myself than always wonder about them.
Ludwig Vintage Drums
He actually had the kit priced at $900 with some hardware and cymbals. I took a shot in the dark and asked if he would take $400 for just the three drums. He responded very quickly that he would.
I did finally hear back from him last night and he said he's been busy and would send more pictures, so far, no new pictures. I texted him this morning about coming to look at kit and I'm still waiting for a response.
The floor tom could be Anniversary sparkle, faded out. I suppose a lug would have to be removed to determine original finish?
400 bucks for those three drums is so cheap I'd be a bit suspicious, but one could probably sell any one drum for 400 if they're real and unscrewed up.
Oh the suspense is killing us
Thank you!

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
