Whatever the case, repair or not, looks a lot more solid than the original design.. Pretty cool..

That has been my thoughts also,?
Not a prototype, not factory. The tooling has been the same from 1948 all the way up to present day. Someone had a pedal that broke and either had the means/skills to do the repair themselves, or went to the trouble of having it repaired by someone with said means/skills.
I find it odd also to bother to go to the extreme of repairing it the way they did since you can still buy a NEW rocker assembly from Ludwig.
