Jp, this green sparkle kit has extra holes it originally had a consolette mount and now has the center post mount, leave this one by the way side, the wmp kit is going to hold its value, over this one, i would get the wmp kit, the green sparkle is rare but extra holes is a deal killer, and non original hardware for this drum,

+ 1 on that.

The green is kinda cool, but it will continue to fade over time and it will end up looking like ginger ale (not necessarily a bad thing, but....). Plus, you might have to deal with some slightly OVER-sized shells from that era. heads often fit tightly on those shells.

So far, I think the WMP is the best deal.

If you are talking about the WMP set in Daly City...that set wasn't perfect. About the price...that was solid! I picked up my 1964 WMP Super Classic for $500 and never looked back.

Also, if I remember didn't you just sell a duco Ludwig clubdate for $1,000?? The WMP Super Classic is far more collectable than a clubdate in a lacquer. So, if you wanted to know if the WMP set was worth more...that would be a yes. That clubdate would need to have an 18 inch bass drum and a COB Supra to be worth more than a WMP Super Classic.

Just saying...

By the way that ludwig club date was a pretty good looking set!

Side Note: WMP is far from being as common as blue sparkle. Sorry, if it sounds like I'm going after you man because I'm really not.

drumbum3131,,Yes you are correct, but the wmp kit was only 3 drums and the clubdate had 4 drums and all the hardware, clipper mount and center mounted cymbal arm and new heads top and bottom, and the jazzfestival was mint, and i would never argue the point that a club date is more collectable than the super classic set, and you just proved my whole point you purchased yours for 1/2 price, and i was telling jp to wait for a better deal that's all,, but the wmp kit didn't come from daly city, also i didn't say the wmp are as common i said almost as common, that is a very popular finish non the less, and that's ok i know you are not coming after me!!, the seller of this wmp kit is from is a bud of mine we have sold and bought from each other for a few years, Walking
