Ludwig green BDP

So it all started a couple months ago. I picked up this 26 incher that had been in a warehouse for 20+ years. In rough shape but definitely worth the money. I knew it had some fade but didn't realize how bad it was until a few weeks later when I picked up a 12x15 to go with it that had almost no fade. Boy, was I bummed. So at this point I'm thinking about a recover. Then I decided, on a whim, to try to sand the ugly off. Guess what? IT WORKED! Water sand with 600 grit, then 1500 grit, then 2000 grit, then Novus #2. The results I got, along with the fact that it had been in storage so long, make me wonder if the green was the effects of UV light or if it was just really, really dirty. Anyway, since the pics, I've finished wet sanding and am waiting for my electric buffer to get here before continuing with the Novus. Also, looking for a floor tom to go with these.

I've got a 16x18 white cortex that I'm gonna recover to hold me over till an original pops up. It's also a B/O 3ply with clear interior.
