although This Ludwig kit has the rivs, it's still in ex. condition for it's age.
And i can't wait to get a couple more toms and a bass drum for it.
I'm real happy with it. After all It's Still a LUDWIG!!!!!!!!!!

Jerry, as I first mentioned, these are excellent drums, they sound supurb, not highly collectible, but that makes them fly under the radar to a certain extent but I've always looked at this particular year run and shell design as a good bargain, great kit to gig with there built like a freakin tank, and as heavy as one to,
I had a couple riveted 6 ply B/O Badge concert/melodic Toms 15 and 16,with mini classic lugs and chrome wrap, even stripped of the lugs they weighed a ton.Looked like they were all maple, and the bearing edges on these were very well done.
They sound pretty cool. Very different from the 3 ply runs. Great live drums. They project better than the 3 ply drums in most cases. Not as warm, though. Just cool drums.
They were maple/poplar shells. Excellent quality.
Okay Kevins
Thanks for the tip.

Awesome Luds you got there.!!!!!!!!
Can somebody recommend a good drum repair out here in New Jersey?
I'm sure as i add on to this kit, i will need to rewrap the drums in BDP.
Thanks for the compliments Jerry. I just had some work done by Precision Drum Company and they do very nice work. They are in pleasant Valley N.Y.
