Snare drums, you can never have enough snare drums!
I have never heard truer words spoken.Excited
Beautiful drum KellyJ!
Thanks Adam!
oh man, what a heart break Lucky :( Whay blue onyx kit did you have?
kellyj
My friend Joe Winokur used to love blue onyx....was his fav finish, may he rest in peace. He had me re-wrap a Ludwig "kit" for him in that finish. It's still at his shop for sale, and still looks great. One of those finishes that Ludwig SHOULD have offered.....
Good point!
Ludwig came out with some freaky stuff like "phychedelic" and "mod orange".

I don't know what it is about that drum. I've always loved the deepdish snares. But, the look of the blue badge, size, lugs, and blue onyx make that one of the best looking snares I have EVER SEEN!
drumbum,
The depth is nice to behold. The tone is deep too.
I know the drum is designed to be a concert model (rock concert?), but with the kewlish wrap it's definitely more for rock/stage music. I can't see this wrap in the heart of the percussion section in a symphony? The same era Leedy Shally Manne model was 5.5X14.

Ugh Yeah, You are going to have to take that picture out of the gallery and delete this post. If I keep looking at that snare I will be spending money that I don't have!
*sniff* HonnnnnnNNNNnnnnnnnnkk!!
Incredible find. Nice cleanup.
