Hi.

This website has a main page where there are links to click on that will take people directly to the serial number section, but they might be a little hard-to-find for some of the newer members.

Maybe we could put a brightly-colored link at the beginning of the forum, here, so that people wanting to find the date of a drum can just click on the link and go right to the source. I know the drop-down menu does that, but I think it might go un-noticed for the most part.

Many (if not most) drum forums usually just have one, main section that everyone kind of settles into for making all their posts or inquiries -like this section -the Vintage Drums section. Most of the topics that get posted, get posted in this section...so maybe it would be easier to get people to get tapped into the many "self-help" resources this website has to offer -especially in regards to badge/serial numbers....make things a little easier to navigate and so on....if we could make some more-obvious links from here to there.

It's all good, though. It's just a suggestion.Burger Kin

O-Lugs,

I was thinking the same thing, because once you go into the forum, you can't find a link to get out back to the main page - it is way down at the bottom and not very easy to find. That is a very good idea.

Where the announcement is up at the top of the list of threads for the vintage page - would be a good place to put a link (back to the main page) when you are on the page with the list of forum gallery topics.

That way it is easy to go back & forth between the forum & the main website page.

I could not agree with you more. I found a page that some have been directed to but I have found nothing that gave me any information on the drums I was looking for. All I could find was information on 1969 or older. Since I knew mine were at least a 1970 or newer, I found no information leading me to find what I needed. Unless I missed it, it's not there.

Hello!!

Yes, I agree and started playing with the forum software to see if I could easily do the header myself.

I took the header from the main site and just plopped it in!!

Well, not that easy, about an hour to get to the point we see now.

I will leave that for a bit until I can rework it to better match the forum

Thanks guys, look to the sky for the links!!!

Which page exactly and is this for Ludwig serial numbers after 1970?

David,

Yes you are so right about modifying a webpage - Easier said than done! And frustrating too...but this a great site. I spend hours a day going over all the different information and comments. It is too good!

Thanks for this Forum and Website!

Cool, I have been wanting to do this for awhile and finally played around long enough to figure it out.

I'm old school HTML and I normally do not mess with .PHP. Time to go to school!

The new bar matches better to the forum. A few more changes and I think I got it.

Thanks

David
