Jon, I appreciate that you have a soft spot for Hoshino, and all of your information is correct, but: 'Luxor' was made by Tromsa, a German drum manufacture, and not by Hoshino. (This I know from a Germany guy's website about Tromsa.)

Or have there been two different lines of Luxor on the market/s?

Yes, I guess that there must have been two separate lines - the Hoshino-build ones likely later.

I bought a Hoshino with Luxor-badges from Gerd Stegner of STdrums for a friend about a year ago. Same lugs as this, and a "Caramel"-like swirl. Quite pretty, in a weird way.

I donĀ“t have any pics of it, though.
