The only kit I wrapped with drum wrap. The wrap came from Jamin Sams.

Here are 2 kits I wrapped. The first was a 3pc Sound Percussion kit I found at a thrift store for $25! Wrapped it in Abalone Pearl from Jammin Sam. Also built a matching snare drum with a Keller shell. The second kit is a 1994 Slingerland HSS-era kit I got with the wrap already removed. I purchased the American Flag motif wrap from Bum Wrap Drum Company.

Alrighty then.. Here's my restored and rewrapped mixed Ludwig kit consisting of Rocker II

with classic lugs, and a super classic floor tom circa mid 1980's..Wrap is a called "Burl Silver" and it's from a local company here in Montreal called Lumigraf Drum Wraps.

Ringo had this wrap on one of his kits from around 2010..

I have my most recent three kits to show, one restoration and two rewraps; one of them done in Burgundy Sparkle (Merlot) and the other in the new Mardi Gras wrap - both were purchased pre-cut to size from Precision Drums. I can't even count how many kits I have re wrapped and saved over the years. It's one of the most gratifying feelings in the world to take an old vintage kit and bring it back to life for another go-round. I have my 1959 Geo. Way kit that I rewrapped but I don't have any photos of them set up. Sorry, it's a really cool kit too. Rarer than hens teeth!

1st. 1958 Gretsch 13, 16, 22/with matching snare in Burgundy Sparkle (Merlot). 3-ply Jasper shells!

Next is the Crown j-e-wel of the fleet, my *restoration (not a re-wrap. That's the original wrap on the drums,) of Big Blue... 1935 W&A Marine Blue Pearl 11, 13, 14, 16, 28, w/matching snare. 6-ply Jasper maple shells.

1959 Ludwig Transition badge kit. 13', 16, 22, w/6.5x14 Ludwig Concert model snare, Mardi Gras wrap. 3-ply Mahogany shells w/maple rerings. Creme de la creme. This is the kit I play everyday.

Re-wrapped drums get a bad rap (pun intended,) in the marketplace, but I'll take a professionally wrapped set of vintage drums over a set whose wrap is roached, or badly faded/damaged. If you do it right, it's like having a vintage kit in minty condition.

Love that Captain America look Mark. Especially the treatment on the bass drum head. Way cool. Doesn't get any better than that for 4th of July (or Inauguration Day).
