Looks like a DW Workshop series drum. If so, those are seriously sweet snares. I had one in natural finish that I'm missing something fierce. It had everything. Super sensitive and plenty of ... power. Congrats if it is. They are not easy to come by.
The seller says its a Pacific made in China and the Yamaha is made in England
Could be a Pacific. They used very similar hardware. China? Not sure about that as I honestly do not know. It will still be a pretty cool snare. The quality of those are not too bad. Not great, but not too bad. Definitely worth the 50 you will pay for both. Good score.
Hawghunter: Yours is a Dixon. Made in China but a very decent drum for the price. Specially because of those Hayman type lugs...
That first snare looks like PDP by DW,and they are advertised like Made in Mexico, not China. But maybe something changed in past few years?
Yamaha took over Premier for a while ,and premier was producing some of yamahas lower lines, you can't go wrong with 50 bucks, worse comes to worse you would have the parts to build a couple of snares from other shells.
Pacific and Yamaha/Olympic style snares.I keep drums like those around to complete sets I've rebuilt for my friend's students. The heads would cost that much. It's funny, because every once in a while one of those student-mid grade drums will kick #ss.A mid 90's Tama Rockstar snare ended up sounding like a Superphonic!Whodathunkit?
