Thats it!.....Same finish even........

Interesting thing......

I have a 1970 catalog,and they show it with:

20" BD's, 8 by 12, 8 by 14 mounted toms, 14 and 16 FT's....

The kit I got is from 1975,and has 22" BD's,8 by 12, 9 by 13 mounted toms,14 and 16 FT's.....

I also have a 1978 catalog,and that shows 22" BD's,9 by 13,10 by 14 mounted toms,14 and 16 FT's.

You also had the options of 24" BD's!

So,they changed it up a bit over the years...

My kit is missing the cymbal arms that go each BD....bummer......the mounts are there though.

They really drove the screws into the lugs to hold them on....otherwise,I would have the shells ready for Novus 2 already!

Gave a tom to a friend last night to see if he can get the screws out.

Shame the guy didn't have cases either.......quite a few scratches all round....at least he didn't have the bottom rims off. Edges are perfect.

Also, the guy must have smoked 3 packs a day,as it looks like nicotine on all the lugs, and they sure stunk when I got them!Taking the heads off helped though.

Both BD's had original front heads, with big holes cut into them.....

Rest of set have Evans Hydralics! (sp?)

Beat to heck and back also....They are in the trash already.

The receipt shows he bought the metal 2000 snare, but the guy didn't have it.

Nor the Premier hi hat stand :-(.

I'll take pics today of them stacked up,sans heads/rims,as I am cleaning them already.

It's too bad that the guy spent that kind of $$$,then just didn't take care of them.

I got a 22" A.Zil Medium Ride from him that has the 3 dots,so 1960's on that.........

Good news for me!

I took the 13",and sprayed Windex on it to get the surface dirt off before trying to Novus with the lugs on,and it took the nicotine right off the lugs!

Then,I put Novus on the shell, and it took lots of the nicotine off the shells, and polished them right up!

I could smell the nicotine on the paper towels, and they were a ugly dark brown color.......

I'm happy!Mind Blowi

I did the 14 by 14 also.....same thing....really cleaned up!

I'll include pics of those 2 also.........

Skies are blue today (unusual for Feb),and I have a bad azz kit!
