Almost every G.drum I have ever seen is the same way....

Tons of glue on the drum.....hardly any on the wrap.....

Hey Blair,

I might take you up on at least one of those 20" hoops.

One of the ones I have seems to be round and flat.

Would you sell me a single?

I hate to brake up a pair. :D

Thankfully, mine was the opposite. I'm starting to think that some lazy sack at Gretsch was only putting the contact glue on one side only! Which explains why only glue on (either) the drum or the wrap, but not both - as it should be. All of the glue on my 50's kit was on the wrap, hardly any on the drum shell itself. It took me all of 15/20 minutes of light sanding to completely clean the shells. That -never- happens normally when stripping wrap from old drums. It's usually a mess!

Too many great drums to list here!

I'm so excited. Excited

Yesterday I called Precision and ordered enough Tangerine Sparkle to wrap this bass and tom.

The snare and the FT are ready to go.
