Thanks for the pics-they look good even upside down.

I admire you experienced guys who have been through a lot of set repairs/rehab. Seems everything is a learning curve and a million questions for me. I had the bass drum out for a close look and it appears the bass drum tom mount has FOUR factory holes for the mount? What is that all about??? Doesn't look like a mod because each hole is precise and exactly the same. I can't find any on-line pictures of Gretsch bass drum with four hole rail consolettes. Now what??

BTW, for Gretsch drums sets does the bass drum badge face the audience or the drummer?

They did offer a 4 bolt mount...early 70s..for not too long....Is your set round badge?...
