The fact that Gretsch "bop" sets HAVE been quoted as selling for $10K or more (by respected forum member, mlvibes), at this forum, it comes as no surprise that someone with a complete, one-owner, "vintage" Gretsch drum set in bop sizes, would want to inquire what he should expect them to sell for. After all, not everyone realizes that there are some more specific criteria that needs to be in place before such a set can take on that kind of high-end valuation -namely, that it needs to be a round badge kit in addition to everything else mentioned.
I know some of you guys have become angry over the process of people asking what their drums might be worth, but it's just going to be a fact of life at a forum like this -and especially at this particular section. We need to accept the questions graciously and helpfully. If someone comes in and does a "drive-by" just to get a free evaluation, then it's just the way it goes. This forum is not a clique, after all. It's an information-based forum. People will try and take advantage of it. Sometimes, people will join and contribute. It takes all kinds! Isn't that why we are here? Plus, I actually like seeing the pictures of whatever drums, in question, happen to be. Don't you? The Gretsch kit is really gorgeous! I thank the OP for posting it, here.:2Cents:
Suggestion: If you see a subject or a question that you don't like or want to be bothered with, then don't answer/participate with it. Count to 30 and walk away! :Snow Flake:
