From OddBall

Is it me or does the floor tom look beveled twords the player ?? That don`t look like leg ajustment, it looks like the drum shell is beveled !!

That might be deformation of picture from the camera lens, an illusion (the drum is round and photographed from below) or maybe some screws are just overtightened.

Anyway that's one BEAUTIFUL kit, Mr. Cooper. I wouldn't sell it if I were you... I'd clean it up and gig!

Keep on Pl

Looking at the rod on the far left,..it seems to be correctly tightened,...the one on the far right is above the rim, maybe there`s no head on it !!

No, it's in fine shape. I just didn't screw the rim down to take the pictures. The tension rods are loose.

Well then you better give it the tLC that it needs, not so much to make a profit, but to know the drums better and keep the ole` set going !! The drum doctors on here woul like that !!

Hey Guy,

Check out my vintage Gracy Kit pictured in the "VIntage Drums - non USA" section. I have used these drums extensively from the time I bought them in 1965 until present day.

Very nice, D.B. ! These are really cool drums. I just bought a kit that are the exact same sizes, mounts, everything as yours, only in Black Diamond Pearl. I hope you are having fun with these; I really like the WMP!

Me i think the drums are worth 300 all day long. it's a nice intro kit to vintage drums without the high price tag that you will find in the big boys

I have a "dumb" question, What was is the long L rod for? I have a kit with the same set up. The L rod is knurled on the one end. Is it a cymbal stand with the top half missing?

Yes, hawghunter, it is the bottom part of a shell mounted cymbal arm. I have a complete one on my "Gracy Drums Yet Again" thread, albeit with no cymbal if you want to see what it looks like. These were pretty common back then. They do save floor space.
