Hey All,
I won this Rogers snare 6 lug blue ripple pearl its a R-360 wood shell from the mid 60s..
Good deal or not
Mikey777
For $30,000,........yup !!
It was japanahead of it's Time..
Think It was the first time cross-pollinization combo of USA with an (namelessfaceless)offshore manufact.
Roger's were known for first's
So a landmark in that sense
then "so-sorry" Pearl yamatamasan ate Rogers alive
How are we to know if you got a good deal or not, if you don't post the price you paid?
DOH
Shells came from Yamaha. Parts are Rogers. … all of them. The lugs were designed by Josephus B. Thompson... and patented. The throw is the same as on Powertone, Tower, and Dyna-Sonic.. the only exception being the faceplate, and of course the slide plate on Dyna-Sonic had a deeper notch "D" marked. Drums were wrapped, drilled, edged, and assembled in Covington Ohio by the same people who built those lovely Rogers drums.
Post more pics looks like a nice decent snare drum. What did you pay for the snare drum.
What do you mean by "Won", like in a lottery, or you were the highest bidder? If that's the case you didn't win it, you just payed more money than the other guys or gals. If you got it free, great deal, if you payed for it, we need to know how much to determine if it's a good deal.Cool1

Thanks Ploughman for all the info, I have seen many Rogers R-360s but none with Rogers lugs and parts on them.
The ones I have seen have the rounded style type of lugs with three lines on them going top to bottom.

I'll leave the evaluation of how good the price you paid was. In my opinion, it looks to me as though you should get your money's worth out of this drum.
