Dammit man! I didn't see this til now. I would had loved to add another Acro "anomaly" to go with my '78 Imperial 10 lug 6.5 Acro.

That's a mighty fine one that you have though!

Thanks Brian. The shell of this Acro should be much the same as yours as far as construction. They are Ludalloy which is essentially aluminum. I've read that these are powder coated. They are not black chrome. They have a black finish with a clear sparkle coat over them. The finish is super smooth. Shouldn't be all that much to get to you. I would only charge you 150 plus the actual shipping cost. If you want to pm me with your postal code, I can give you an estimate of shipping. Thanks.Mike

Thanks for the info, Mike! I'm learning more and more about these beautiful drums! Also, thanks for the great offer. That was very kind! I see that she's sold though. I'm sure she'll find a good home. I am envious but, pleased the beautiful instrument went to a fellow member. Thanks again.

Brian

Just a drummer who loves all things about vintage drums! Nothing more, nothing less.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I might add another serial number. My Blacro with Imperial Lugs is #6252753. Some small distance from the numbers Mike noted.

I wasn't aware these existed and I must have missed round one of this thread. Nice looking drums, and amazingly different from the other version.

As a side note to Mike - there was a time a few years back where you were gracing us here regularly with nicely fixed up Acros and other Ludwig snares for sale. I'm guessing the well has dried up a bit? :) I own two very nice ones from you.

Hey Larry. I appreciate the past purchases from you! I love finding drums and giving them proper tlc and sometimes setting them back to the wild. I slowed up on the restorations a couple of years ago. Then Covid left me really sick. Starting to feel better now. Hoping to get back to it sometime.

Curious as to why the Blacro's go so cheap.

Saw one at GC a while back for the same price.
