experts in 'really vintage' japanese drums?

older then the sets in the first images (any ideas about the brands?)

better then the usual MIJ.

here we have :

MURAYAMA, NEGI, a modern but vintage oriented SHIMANO and a solid but unknown red snare

Zim Gar made a round badge and many of their lugs resembled Radio King. I think two of those may be. Metal hoops and similar T-rods on the BD.

Just a thought. We discussed Zim not long ago here.

Murayama was a small manufacturer of professional drums for the Japanese market.

Negi is still manufacturer of professional drums for the Japanese market.

Beyond Shimano was part of Mapex

The red snare is open for debate amongst experts, most likely not from a large stencil manufacturer.

Note that Zim-Gar never made drums, they were just a stencil drum importer who imported from Star, Hoshino, and Sakae over the years.

I don't know if this is relevant or not, but I have a Star conga with the badge imprinted with "Star, since 1908, quality instruments". I thought the date was VERY interesting. Just trying to help.

I also know that Yamaha had kits that looked like these before they partnered with Sakae in 1967.

There were a few pictures on FB once too, but I can't find them anymore.

I have read a few threads and seen a few pics about vintage fifties and sixties Japanese drums made for the domestic market that looked like pro gear,completely different than the entry level stuff sold here and Europe.

As I remember I saw some kits that had hardware lugs and mounts that looked like European and US makers,but rarely saw shell interiors
