Yeh I reported one of his auctions, yesterday. That guy is relentless.

If insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, is it insane to practice?

I don't know. He or she uses various usernames. The photo of the drum is always the same. It's the same photo as this auction.

You're always required to contact the seller before bidding, which should "raise a red flag" in any case.

Just be wary.

Not true. You're not required to contact seller prior to bidding. That's exactly why a red flag should be raised.

emmojo... I think that was the point the leray1 was making.. in any of this guys auctions he asks you to contact the seller first which should raise a red flag because you are not required to contact a seller first.

Requesting the first contact might also be the way this scammer is stealing ID's by running password crackers against email accounts and ebay accounts once he as a username.

My ID got swiped once on ebay... the guy first used it to bid on a very small item which I saw immediately and reported. I changed my password to a very strong password. Numbers and letters in a mispelled word combination.. makes it very tough to run a dictionary attack against your password.

Thieves SUCK!!

Not a Guru... just interested..

How do you know he is a scammer....other than the photo matching up to a previous listing. He has several other auctions, many expensive but some reasonable and it looks like a good bit of effort went into the listings. I'm just curious how you know.

The link that is listed a couple of posts above is a legit seller. The scammer swipes legit photos and auction descriptions and then posts the items for sale on hijacked accounts. The scammer has a certain look to their auctions that lets us know who they are.

30's Radio King - 26, 13, 13, 16
49 - WFL Ray McKinley - 26, 13, 16
58 - Slingerland Duco
58 - Slingerland Krupa Deluxe
70 - Ludwig Champagne Sparkle - 20, 12, 14
70 - Ludwig Champagne Sparkle - 22 (need), 13, 16
And some others..

From leray1

Here he is again: link

Ebay has removed his listing again. If you ask me....if you are stupid enough to meet his terms without investigating it, then you deserve to get taken. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Nuff Said.
