Ebay purchase.... I'm so disappointed

Only Delmar makes champagne sparkle anymore, I believe. Whether Delmar supplied 'em all with this wrap back in the '50's-'60's is something I don't know.....

This whole thing is perplexing me a bit, because I do not believe that this person is the kind who would intentionally mislead to such a degree.

Other puzzling thing is...I sold this kit to a 'she'....not a 'he'.

Jaye, just a quick question. His auction stated "This is an actual Rogers wrap bought from Rogers." Is that true? Is there still some original Rogers wrap hanging around?

Actually, that is not what he says in the auction. he says:

A little more about George: He only uses exact replicas for wraps. This wrap is EXACTLY what a champagne wrap looked like in the 60's. George's attention to detail and quality is astounding! You cannot tell the wrap is not original.

He made a revision, and if you read the entire auction........

Its too bad it was damaged in shipping. With a little bit of work, it could have been a nice kit! Maybe the damaged shell could be repaired, but at that point, how much would one want to invest in a players kit?

Just an FYI.

The seller has been 110% on this. I have already received a 100% refund.

The seller would love to get rid of this kit with minimal hassle. I have the kit packed and ready to ship back to him but if anyone here is interested in making an offer, I'm sure the seller would be thrilled.

I would re-package the kit (properly) and send it directly to the new buyer.

You all know about this kit. It is being sold with everyone knowing the best and the worst.

Would anyone offer $100 for it? How about $200? $300? I have no idea how low the seller would go but I have to think the kit is worth SOMETHING even in it's current state.

Just tossing this out since the seller has been good to me. I try to help good people.

His last edit at the very bottom reads:

On Feb-22-10 at 19:54:14 PST, seller added the following information:

This is an actual Rogers wrap bought from Rogers.

Also all three pieces are a "Holiday".
