No matter right/left we're all subject to the economy. Frankly, I'm scared $ h i t l e $ $ what exactly the new order's going to do to my business. Especially since I live in Minnesota.

You have the micro level: whatever the Ludwig drum/kit is, condition, who's selling it, + are they doing it right.

The macro : not only does it impact the micro under normal conditions; it looks like it's going to squelch it hugely the way it's being set up.

What's left unsaid is the bigger story ... but we're talking vintage drums only here; quite simply a ghost note in the scheme of things.

What's the nature of these DISAPPOINTING LUDWIG PRICES? And what's the outlook?

I don't think a VD downturn necessarily = a buyer's market.

Maybe you should move to Texas! I've talked with several small business owners, who happen to own drum shops and they are very happy with the current state of the economy. One in particular who happens to be of Hispanic decent, raved about it. I'm not talking politics here, I'm just stating that the economy is beginning to pick up. At least here it is.

Good point, JR. I know you're not talking politics. There is a rather large difference between blue + red states as far as taxes/income taxes go.

Just an aside -

Don't know how it is in Texas as far as Yankees go. But I have relatives in Virginia and I was golfing w/ 2 random dudes in Roanoke mid-90's and they asked where I was from. After saying visiting from MN, one looks at me and says,"We don't mind if you visit. Just so long as you go back home." He said it like a joke; but knowing how the South is I know that he'd meant it (that's pretty much how my relatives are; except with them I'm family which makes a huge difference).

Don't have relly's in TX.

My bass player friend is from Minnesota, he retired from Toyota and now owns a small car business. He is also doing very well. He goes to Minnesota to visit family, in the summer time of course. Yes Sir

My family is from Chicago, where I was born. My wives family is from New England. There are quite a few Yankees here. It's like California in the sense that it's difficult to find a native born Texan.
