Oh Mr. Funkypoodle those BDP's kick @ss! I love that extra dark version of BDP. My personal experience with the Crown/ Dorado drums is as follows. In the 80's I lived in Florida and ran across quite a few of these sets, but always wrecked-delaminated, stripped threads and missing parts. So, after all this time all I have is parts. Mostly lugs, rods and such. The castings are not very good quality and spur brackets and even lug mounting screws would strip out on disassembly. Pretty thin chrome plating, too.
