I finally got my replica corder badges finished.. they look great
Oskabops kit was an inspiration for me as far as color
SO I thought I was done building this kit.. BUT a 16x16 FT showed up on a craigslist search. The guy also had a 22" kick drum and I couldnt resist buying them both. At the same time I made a deal on some marching tri-toms from corder, that were from a fellow member on the fibes facebook page...
SO I went from having no floortom, to having three of them. And the kit is going to be huge. Im thinking of a Mike Mangini style setup where the smallest tom is directly in front, and the toms get larger as you go out on each side
Of course it wont be as big as his rig, and Im not even with a band at the moment.. But when I get back into it, I'll only use a 4 or 5 piece kit probably, but it will be cool to have a bunch of sizes.
The end result will be: 6" and 8" cutaway concert toms (that I intend to convert into standard shells with reso heads), 10x7, 12x8, 13x9, 14x13, 15x14, 16x16, and dual 22x14 kicks. Also a matching 14x5" maple snare.
I have a gibraltar rack system that will be fun to use for this monster.
Maybe one of these days OskaBop will sell his kit to me so I can have even more sizes!

Hope the link works.
Was wondering what you Corder pros think about this set? One said had Gretch like sound..my 1st set was Gretch, then went to Ludwig in 1980 with oversize base, floor toms (2), Rodgers Dynasonic snare. Looking for another set to play until I catch up to mine in the UK.
Guy wants $800 or best offer with I think 7 Zildjian cymbals (2 prob high hat)

Looks good! IF you have the maple and gum shells, they are Made by a company called Jasper, which is now closed. They made the shells for Gretsch as well, so thats why you have that Gretsch like sound. Gretsch was a little bit different however since they used die cast hoops.
