I know you've probably posted somewhere in the previous 11 pages, but, are you using the reproduction badges? If so, I think they look great, as I used them on my Blaemire/Ludwig tribute kit. Drum looks awesome! Yes Sir

My wife says the turquoise on the badge matches the turquoise in the wrap.

I got all my hardware sorted and ready to go on and i got all my badges back on with ease. he grommets look pretty dam good! ill take pics before I put the heads on

Ok here's a few pics of my badge installation and grommets. Check it out.

I used my grommet tool from my old kentucky drums. last time I used a 3/4" socket and a 3/4" wrench. this time I used a 3/4' wrench and a impact with a 10mm socket. The impact works so good I couldnt believe it. I got the badge and grommet in place. Put the grommet tool in place with the 10mm head on the outside of the shell. Put the 3/4" wrench on the big nut on the inside of the shell. Then I got the impact with the 10mm socket, placed the socket on the 10mm bolt, pressing real hard pulled the trigger and tightened it a little. backed it off to check it and tightened it some more. This is the best grommet installation I have ever experiienced. You can go out and buy cheaper tools and do it with a ball bearing and a ball peen hammer, but I gaurentee you this is the best way and the least frustrating method out there. The cost of the tool is not near as bad as the frustration of attempting to install a grommet and not being sucessful. Dont skimp on the last part of your restoration! You've gone this far, might as well go all the way!! RIGHT??????
