I too did that once, when one of my spurs from a vintage Rogers kit i once owned wouldn't tighten during a gig

This is not actually restoring, but my attempt to make clip on bass drum spursI took 2 clamps, cut original screw, than made on lathe machine new ones with 8 mm thread. Than I took two washers from some old metal snare lug mount and put them onSo here they are!

I think that's bloody brilliant. Both the clamps and the cowbell mounts. Kinda obvious and makes you wonder why it hasn't been thought of before. But what do I know? Probably been done for years! Nice one! :)
