Cuquito: I take offense on your words. I have a 100% good feedback both on E-bay and at this forum to prove my honesty. If you think the price was so bad you would have returned the goods wouldn't you? A set like that even when you don't care who use to own it it is worth what you paid for. You're acting very unfairly spreading misinformation about me on this forum so I beg you stop this. I don't want this informative post to be locked locked down like others Ive seen were members start treating each other very poorly. And talking about misinformation I quote you: "Jaco Pastorious great drummer lousy timbales player."...Well: that speaks very loud. You obviously don't know the historical value these drums had. And I say "had" because that value its been ruined now. But that's your prerogative.
You are acting childish. Now I ask you was this extremely Damaged? Was the stand all bent? Did it have lacquer all over? Did I call you and told if I would have known the condition I would not given you what you ask for ? Did I tell you that signature of Alex Acuna was of no value to me? Did you tell me you had lugs for these that you would send to make it up the damaged ones? To later tell me that you did not have this size. I guess the answer would be Yes to all these questions so how can you be offended knowing that these are true facts? No one is saying you are dishonest you may not have know the extent of damage and with your fan appreciation of these musicians you have gone off track that's it! So what misinformation have I spread other than facts of what was sold by you and all this was discussed with you. In the music business there are those that play the instrument, those that know how to sell the instrument, and those that know how to repair and very few that know it all. With this said think where do you fall? You can't get mad or feel offended for things that have been discussed, it becomes public. If anything I should be angry for something that look like two lug bad OK, then to see all are bad, the excess Lacquer, bent stand. But I have taken it with stride repaired it, put in the order it should have been. And in reality it done and over. O! And I have forgotten to mention the rims that were on there were not original Rogers, So I brought 2 shells 1 lugs, 9 claws, a bent stand base and the signature of Alex Acuna that means nothing to me. Know tell me who should be angry, offended and signs of being taken.
Jaco Pastorious , Alex Acuna they mean nothing to me, this is an opinion that you and everyone has to respect. If you are a fan of these musicians Thats fine and dandy I respect that, but don't shove it down my throat because I am not there fan nor will be. I should have returned them but I was a man about the transaction and you were not going to give me moneys that I had already spent to repair them. Am I correct! Also Jaco Pastorious was a bass player if I recall not a timbales or drummer.
So with this said no more whining please! You made a sale you have your concept I have mine and opinions must and have to be respected. No one has to judge you from my experience everyone judges for themselves.
I also ask can any one tell from this photo the extent of damage of these drums from this single photo that I received. I only see 2 missing Lug, Stand was closed so we could not tell damage and lugs were glued to shells from lacquer. Rims not original , 1 missing claw and all other missing parts. Yet they are the ones offended for me bringing out what was brought.
