Wow. Lots of off-topic chitchat.
I've owned both. Ti sounds like a metal snare, albeit one with moongel on its head. CF sounds like a wood drum, either a vintage one (tuned low) or a modern birch (tuned high).
I sold my Luddie Chief some time ago, not because of its sound but because I'd never take it out and play it. Still have 4 CF snares in different sizes.
Off topic? Well, only in the strictest definition of "off topic" I would say. Still quite on TOPIC as the discussion was fleshed out to include other specimen's for consideration. Now, knowing Slingerand as I do, there is no doubt that he found this discussion enlightening. CF... Ti... or maybe even Hammered Bronze! It's all good information, and it's all about drums!

A mere drop in the bucket compared to what my Sonor cast bronze go for or some of my custom snares....
