Camco restore

Interesting on the new wrap not matching. I've got an old unfaded Camco wrap sampler which I compared with samples from Precision Drum (admittedly from about 2007) and they were virtually interchangeable apart from the texture. What was the difference? Sounds like Delmar may have changed it's make-up since then. Anyone know? Had vaguely contemplated re wrapping in silver sparkle precisely because it was so close to the original.

Is there a color difference between the silver sparkle and silver glass glitter maybe?

The wrap on these Camcos is really beautiful. It is silver sparkle, but in an indirect light it has a little goldish champaign color to it. Still dont want to take wrap from under a lug, I think the holes are just something I need to "live with" There is no way to fill them in that will be good enough to satisfy myself, I don't think.

Thank you!

What about some tinted clear over it to give it the yellow/gold hues it needs? If not keep a eye out for some vintage SS scraps. Something will turn up in time I hope!

Hi Jeff,

Kind of late to the party here on this. I might have some old silver sparkle wrap, maybe MIJ stuff, but you're welcome to it to try to fill the holes. I did check to see if I had a single Camco tom post and mount. No luck. I have a spare double, but no singles. I'll go check on the wrap right now, and holler back if I have some.

Thanks Craig but I doubt very much it will match, but worth a try if you want to take the time to mail a small piece.

Thanks!

You got an opportunity to put a special Camco out there better than the factory did.
