Good price on this one.
Camco prices are still good on certain drums...
Just think if he cleaned it up what it might have fetched...lazy sod...
I picked up this minty champagne sparkle Oaklawn for $750 when the economy was doing much better. I was surprised that moire one went over $500.

That moire one had a dodgy strainer as well. Recently, a WMP Oaklawn Aristocrat snare with lots of yellowing fetched over $900. I paid $900 for my walnut-stained Oaklawn Aristocrat snare several months back. I'd heard that the market on Camcos was slow, but it doesn't appear to be that way.

Indeed,... Camco prices are not at all going down it seems.
I guess the more we folks write about them and hype them up, the more people starting to get interested,... (I know I did)
Oh well, they absolutely deserve the attention.
After all,... they're the best sounding drums ever produced, or am I biased now?!
25 years ago..I went to Lansing ,Mich to meet a guy from Indiana who said he had a 18,12,14 Camco Oaklawn kit..
When we got there..it was a 18,12,14 LA kit..so we were ****ed,and turned around..went back empty handed!Around 60 miles each way....

No matter how much one tries to weasel them down , most sellers wont budge.
Sure can't remember what he wanted...too long ago...
I DO remember 15-20 years ago trying to flip a very clean OAKLAWN Champagne 18,12,14 AND matching snare...and couldn't get $2K for it.....shopped it all over the world..
...
Called Bobby Elliott about it even in England...
Finally, traded it to a guy in Tacoma ,Washington....you might know who that is....

I also picked up a walnut oval badge for $400 and a George Way BDP Aristocrat for $350, both were Ebay deals. I'd say the market is coming back especially with the LA AC blue fetching over $1300 recently which may have been the spark needed.
