Yes Sir: the most noteable has got to be CCR's Doug cosmo Clifford, he made a hit or two aboard a camco kit and 602 paiste powered, also Dennis wilson of the one and only beach boys even though he only played live not on the records that of course is the mighty Hal blaine.
Nick Ceroli (Tijuana Brass & others), Dennis Wilson (Beach Boys), Jeff Porcaro (Toto & gazillions of other artists--played LA Camcos some, but endorsed Pearl), Jim Gordon (Leon Russell, Derek & the Dominoes & many others), Jim Keltner (tour & studio), and more I can't recall.
Do you play them stallwater?

Here's my FAVORITE Camco drummer: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYZkFOZoP-o[/ame]
Gifted and sexy!
Yep, got my first used Camco kit in 1973. Have owned 6 or 7 other Camco kits and quite a few snares, but got out of collecting about 12 years ago. However, I still have the kit I bought used in 1973, hauled around on the road for 8 years and played in most of the finer dives in my area since.
Hook me up with some pics man!

Here are a couple of pics.
The first is a Tuxedo 4-pc I traded to Jollity Drum Farm years ago for a Hayman kit in a rare finish---he still has them, and you might recognize his photography.
The second is similar to a white satin flame round lug kit I did some restoration work on in the 80's. I recall that someone had painted the interiors with a tan latex. I ripped this photo of slingerlandsm's kit from the gallery.
The last pic taken of my oval badge Oaklawn kit was back in the day that film had to be taken to the drugstore to be developed. I might set them up and snap a couple.
Just great looking drums! How similar are these to modern day DWs? When it comes to shell construction and sound. I really want to pick up a Dw. But, if I can find an old Camco I'd much rather have that if it is at all like a DW.

Actually, they are very similar to DW, at least the top line of DW. Drum Workshop was one of the few American companies, along with Slingerland, that still made thinner shells with reinforcement rings while other companies were touting the advantage of tube shaped plywood forms for pouring concrete pilings that would work for drumshells.
