It's all done! I had posted this a few weeks back, but not in the Image Gallery. Since those pictures were taken, I've added a beautiful set of new COB Stick Chopper hoops, 12 of 16 Slingerland late 60's tension rods (the other 4 new generic rods are positioned where you won't really see them), short lug nuts and a new set of brass German wires. The end result looks beautiful and sounds great!
I've wanted one of these BR snare drums for a long time, but wanted it to match my 1967 kit in Sparkling Silver Pearl. Even finding a COW version would cost way too much and the condition would be questionable, so I had this shell built to my specs and drilled for the lugs. I drilled for the rest of the hardware and air vent. Many thanks to the wonderful VDF members who offered their views AND to TommyP for his very positive outlook with my project!
