Great looking kit! It is indeed a Star set. I have a Majestic kit that bears the same rail/consolette design, this is the only other "brand" I have seen it on, besides the top of the line Star of the day. My kit is complete with snare.Looking at the star mounting plate on the tom, you are in the late 60s. Also, I have that snare, in 8 lig config, and yes, it is amazing. Looks brand new, paid 10+ shipping on ebay. Can't tell you how great it sounds! Mine has the MIJ round blue badge. Sent A PM to you re: Crystar on ebay.

The kit did not make reserve, you might try and see if he will ship to Australia, if he is still selling it. Ended yesterday. Perfect condition for a 35 year old kit.

... The snare now has the muffler too, or should I say "One touch tone control"? ...

Yep! You should! ;-)

And to be 100 % correct: 'One Touch Internal Tone Control'.

2-ply Emperors as resos ...? I don't know whether this will really help them to sing ...
