Without seeing the lugs or something, we can't be for sure, but it seems to me they are Pearl. As soon as you get them in hand, let us know. We need to see the parts....always need to see parts. I also have a new way for you to get your pix resized for posting.

Google "photo resizing" you will get e list of free software sites that allow you to enter the pictures and resize them online, and then you can follow the directions and post them.

Definitely made by Star.

Here's my catalogue (which I still proudly possess):

See page 2.

And pics are very welcome!

I bought my Star set (in copper, from page 1) new in 1974.

The drumsets in this catalogue were produced - I guess -

between 1972 and 1973.

'Cause they didn't manufacture that Fre'o'matic double tom

holder before 1972.

I'm working on restoring a WMP Bollero 5" x 14" snare. I believe late 60's. Too bad I only have the snare, because it would make a very nice kit. Can't wait to see some pics Wayne.

Cheers.

Wait a minute here guys...I hope this is not a misunderstanding. Ralf, I am not trying to say this is wrong, but I am almost certain this is not a Star brand, Bollero set name. In other words, this is a stencil kit, and they do indeed have their own badge. The Star "Bollero" is the name of a set, a complete set, sort of like what we call the Slingerland "Buddy Rich". If I am not mistaken, there is a stencil name, brand name, if you will, not the Star named kit. Please don't get confused on this, a Star kit named "Bollero" would not have a badge of it's own. It would only have the Star badges. A Bollero badge would be a "brand", like Apollo, or Stewart, maybe they are made by Star, but this is not the case on this kit, as they will not have a Star badge. The badge clearly reads "Bollero" not Star.
