Hi Lucky

Could you post a pic or two of your tilter over on vyacheslav's thread?

He has a Slingerland tilter question and could use a comparison shot or two?

Link to the thread

Thanks, bro !

Hey Kev, I checked that thread, looks like that is not a Slingerland tilter, at least one I have not seen if it is!

I have a snare stand that I want to get rid of

Im good on my Slingy hardware at the moment, but looking for two flat based cymbal stands - same as Lynn.

As a side, I love the look of and functionality of the Slingerland hardware. I have Krupa and a dynamo hi hat stands a both play well, with the dynamo being the more sturdy of the two. I am currently using an AA bass drum pedal on my kit and you cant beat the look, and the feel is great (liking it more than my speed king at the moment). I guess its good for us Slingerland guys that all their stuff is highly undervalued, but as good a quality as any of the other American companies.

Yeah... Slingerland certainly seems to be the Rodney Dangerfield of drums, and hardware, lately! I've had lots of Slingerland kits and loved each one. I modified a Super Speed with a solid metal plate and it was a great pedal! Pretty much all of my Setomatic bass drum brackets were modified to use a tang, just like the tom bracket. This little feature prevent any screw marks in the Setomatic shaft.

I'd love to find a Tempo King and install a stabilizer plate on it.It would eliminate all the tippy/wobbly/squeaky business.

Heck if it was good enough for David Robinson......:D

That set toured the world with the Modern Lovers first, then the Cars until about 1984....if that ain't good build quality, then I don't know what was....

I bought some 70's Slingerland hardware from a forum member a month or so ago. For me it's a great addition to my 60's kit and nice to have the same family. All HD and the chrome finish has held up very well. I do see some Slingerland drums that are very affordable. For me not having tons of cash it's given me the chance to get back in the hobby. Plus Slingerland has always been a favorite and great sounding drum to me. On the other hand it seems if you buy anything with the "Radio King" label it can get expensive. I have to admit it's a very addictive hobby too. There's a few more Slingy kits on my bucket list. Laughing H

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.
