Ha ha. I like messing with them, keeping them out of the dump, giving them new life. And like I said I want to put together a mahogany shell kit. 22, 13 and 16. I have the 13 already and I have a 16x16, late 60's in maple that maybe I could trade with someone. I would like to wrap it in that turqouise blue sparkle. And if you believe in that stuff, it has a good vibe to it.

Well yeah... it does have a good vibe.Guitar Dude Man

Here's a pic of what I got in my little bone yard right now.

I am trying to get together a red sparkle kit. I have a really nice red sparkle closed loop S bass drum with all the hardware and hide heads. Now I need the red sparkle 16" floor tom and the 13" mounted tom... and probably another 60's COB SK if I can't find a red sparkle snare I can afford.

So how does your plan fit my plan...?? I got the 22" bass drum to offer and the other two bone yard shells old WMP field snare and solid (but painted black inside) 60's slingerland 12" tom. I have some hardware for the two smaller drums.

I have in my boneyard

1) 20x14 slingerland shell, as I mentioned before, no extra holes probably 66 or 67, good condition

2) 16x16 slingerland champagne sparkle ft. Small spider cracks by one of the leg mounts. Complete, late 60's early 70's, hole for a badge but no badge

3) 22x14 slingerland marching bass drum shell, great cond, no wrap, only 2 small holes from the harness. Mahogany ext., maple interior, virgin

4) 13x9 Late fifties early sixties Slingerland pink sparkle, mahogany interior, complete, good condition. (I kind of want yo keep this one)

5)16x14 slingerland shell. I cut this one down and reinstalled the rerings. It was in bad shape when I got it. coming along nicely. Maple ext.

6)13x9 slingerland concert tom shell, good cond. Maple ext.

Lots of misc. hardware

Like I said, I could fix that busted shell. The inside would look good and be sturdy also. I would rewrap it so the outside is not an issue.

Do you have a 20" kick?

I do have this 20" but I'm not ready to part with it.

I guess what I really need is a floor tom I can wrap in red sparkle.

I could re-wrap that old 12' tom I have in red sparkle and have it come out nice. I have all the hardware for that drum.

I suppose I would trade that cracked bass drum shell for a usable floor tom shell..

That would give me parts for a nice players red sparkle 3 piece and I have a WMP snare I could set up with it.... I think that would look ok.

What do think?

The reason I asked about the 20" kick was to see if you needed one, I have a 20, 12, 14 with a matching snare, I play that kit the most. So that 20 is an extra that I bought for parts. The only floor tom shell I would be willing to give up would be the 16x14 that I cut down. The champagne one I would trade for a complete 16x16 with a mahogany inside.

AND I THINK WMP GOES WITH ANYTHING!
